AP3000 SMT Stencil Printer

Posted by Manncorp

AP3000 Fully Automatic Inline Stencil Printer with Vision Alignment

The Manncorp AP3000 is a high-precision, fully-automatic, in-line stencil printer designed for today’s most advanced, high-mix, solder paste printing applications in medium- to high-volume production environments. Heavy-duty, ball-screw-driven, X-, Y-, Z- and θ-axes and bi-directional optics automatically align PCBs to stencils with exceptional ±0.02 mm (±0.0008") accuracy; more than adequate for 01005 chip components, μBGAs, and 0.3 mm (0.012") fine-pitch QFPs. A motor-driven print head with dual, self-leveling squeegees covers a print area of up to 510 x 510 mm (20" x 20") and an automatic stencil positioning system for frames up to 820 x 820 mm (32" x 32") minimizes changeover time.

MC-400 automatic pick place machine
Manncorp's new MC-400 which is specially designed for startups, product development labs, and contract manufacturers that need to build prototypes or short runs in-house, with high-precision and quick turn-around times. Built upon the same architecture as Manncorp’s popular MC Series of SMT pick and place machines, the new MC-400 is specially designed for startups, product development labs, and contract manufacturers that need to build prototypes or short runs in-house, with high-precision and quick turn-around times. The MC-400 pick place machine can also be viewed as a long-term investment in pick and place capability for when volumes increase, as feeders, software, and accessories are fully compatible with the other members of the MC family.

Utilizing both flying and bottom vision, the MC-400 aligns and places 0201 chips, BGAs, CSPs, and 15 mil fine-pitch QFPs with ±0.05 mm placement accuracy at speeds up to 3000 cph (2500 IPC-9850). Key to the MC-400’s exceptional precision are its rugged, heavy-duty construction, for which the MC Series is well known, and closed-loop, servo-driven, X, Y, Z, and theta axes, complemented by high-resolution digital encoders.

Even at its full capacity for 64 individual smart tape or stick feeders, the MC-400 maintains a maximum placement area of 415 mm x 320 mm (16.3" x 12.5"). A wide variety of feeder options are also available for waffle trays, cut strips of tape, and other components used in small quantities, and a semi-automatic mode even allows pick-up and placement from loose component feeders.

Windows®-based software features programming via CAD data import or dual teaching cameras, and virtual PCB simulation for program verification. A vast library of component and vision data includes all common package types and sizes, and links to smart feeder data and optimization tools for easy setup and inventory control. Patterns of dots or lines for solder paste or adhesive are also linked to the component library for use with an optional dispensing head. As the need for greater throughput increases, valuable program data is directly transportable to all other MC Series equipment.

With the addition of the MC-400, Manncorp’s MC Series, with hundreds of systems in operation worldwide, now spans the full range of SMT placement equipment capability—from entry-level to high-speed systems over 10,000 CPH. All MC Series systems include remote diagnostics and tech support, along with a two-year limited warranty. On-site installation and training are also available. 15,000 CPH Pick and Place Machine for Dedicated LED Assembly

Manncorp's MC-LEDV4 pick and place machine for dedicated LED assembly
As the benefits of LED lighting technology and its countless applications propel its rapid expansion into a growing number of industries, new products using arrays of LED components appear almost daily. Accordingly, the demand for LED-specific component placement equipment is becoming more widespread and is no longer viewed as something reserved only for offshore manufacturers.

Manncorp's MC-LEDV4 series of LED pick and place machines are specially designed to place surface-mounted LED components using four pick-and-place heads and 'on-the-fly' vision for fast, accurate alignment. With a high-precision, ball-screw-driven gantry providing multiple, simultaneous pickups, MC-LEDV4 machines are capable of placement rates up to 15,000 LEDs per hour (IPC-9850).

Unlike SMT pick-and-place equipment that has merely been adapted for LED assembly, the MC-LEDV4 series is exclusively designed to be the ideal solution for long LED tubes, flexible strips, and panelized LED boards. Three models are available for either 600 mm (24"), 1200 mm (47"), or 1800 mm (71") substrates. All models can be purchased as stand-alone or inline systems.
The machines place both standard and domed LEDs from 0.6 x 0.3 mm to 8 x 8 mm, with Teflon®-coated nozzles and positive air pressure actuation to prevent component sticking. Component range can be expanded to 20 x 20 mm with a bottom vision option.
MC-LEDV4 series tape feeders have also been designed specifically for high-volume LED assembly. Brushless servo-driven tape feeder motors ensure years of reliable service, even through 24/7 production. The ability to automatically switch to a different pickup location when a feeder runs empty allows the MC-LEDV4 to run continuously, shift after shift.
The MC-LEDV4 is backed by a 2-year warranty and supported by Manncorp's experienced technical team. For details, pricing, and a 2-minute video, visit http://www.manncorp.com/smt/prod-638/pick-and-place-led-mc-ledv4-12.html?tabshow=2.
